Having been to Athens a few times, this time I decided to stay in a locals area Kolonaki, with an array of bougie boutiques, funky cafes, lively bars and authentic tavernas.
Ideally located at the base of Mt Lycabettus its the spot for a dreamy sunset evening overlooking the acropolis.
